Bengaluru: Well known Kannada actor Rajesh has passed away. He was 82 years old.
He was suffering from age-related ailments. He was admitted to a private hospital in the City where he breathed his last.
Actor Arjun Sarja is his son-in-law. His daughter Asharani, wife of Arjun Sarja had acted opposite to Shivaraj Kumar in Rathasaptami movie.
His last movie was Old Monk which is yet to be released. It will be released on February 25.
Rajesh’s original name is Muni Chowdappa. He was a theatre actor who become a Sandalwood actor. He was running his own drama company by the name Shakti Drama Company.
His first movie was Veeera Sankalpa released in the year 1960. He changed his name to Rajesh with the movie Namma Uru released in the year 1968. He has acted in over 160 movies.
He was honoured with honorary doctorate by the Karnataka University, Dharwad in the year 2012.
