K. Shivaram, Former IAS Officer and Sandalwood Star, Passes Away

K Shivaram, a well-known Sandalwood actor and former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, sadly passed away at the HCG hospital in Bengaluru following a heart attack. Shivram had a distinguished career in both the entertainment and civil services sectors. He was skilled in the Kannada film industry. Shivram suffered a severe heart attack and was admitted to the hospital a few days before he passed away. He passed away from the illness in spite of efforts to save him.

Shivaram, known for his versatile talents, showcased his acting prowess in the iconic movie “Ba Nalle Madhuchandrake.” His contribution to the Kannada film industry earned him a special place in the hearts of movie enthusiasts. Shivaram served as a district collector in various state districts throughout his career, demonstrating his commitment to public service. Additionally, he held the position of Managing Director at MSIL until his retirement in 2013. He has another feather to his career that he is the first person to clear the IAS exam writing in the Kannada language.

After retiring, Shivaram entered the political sphere and ran for Lok Sabha in 2014 from Vijaypur. His commitment to public service never wavered, even after he entered politics from the civil service.

When word of his death spreads, plans are made for his last darshan at his Modi Road home, where friends, family, and admirers can say their final goodbyes to the departed soul. Shivaram’s passing has ended an era defined by his diverse contributions and left a void in the domains of entertainment and public service.

Shivaram’s journey from a civil servant to a celebrated actor and politician exemplifies a life dedicated to varied forms of public service and artistic expression. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations, reminding them of the profound impact one individual can have on both the government and the arts. Shivaram’s departure is not just a loss to his family and close associates but to the entire state of Karnataka, which mourns the loss of a truly remarkable son.
