Mangaluru: Director Shivadwaj Shetty introduced the Tulu film “Koramma” at a press conference, emphasizing its fusion of Tulunadu’s culture, language, customs, manners, way of life and entertainment. Scheduled for release on August 11 in Mangaluru, Surathkal, Puttur, Padubidre, and more, the film, produced by Advaru Madhava Nayaka and Sabhai Production House, explores Tulunadu’s past through song sequences.
Shivadwaj Shetty directed the film, blending Tulu traditions with a skilled touch, which earned him a National Award. The production, music by Shenoy V. Joseph, cinematography by Suresh Byrasandra, editing by Ganesh and Neerchal, dialogues by Srinidhi Bhat and Amevada, and lyrics by K. Sreenivas, Mahendranath Salettur, and Kare Santosh Poojary Venur. Co-directed by Harsheev Bhagira and Prasadhana Kumar Nonavinakere, produced by Veeresh S, distributed by Deepak’s Cine Gayalakshmi, and publicized by Jagravatha Shetty Bala. Shot at Sundara Kana in Bylur, Karkala, the film stars Guruprasad Hegde, Roopa Sri Varkady, Mohan Sheni, Rakshadi, Jinaprasad, Divya Sri Nayak, Lakshman Kumar Mallur, Namitha Kuloor, Sumana Mangaluru, Harish, and others.
