The historic Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) has come down to the wire as the hosts are 2-1 up in the series after three tests. Two wins in the first two tests for India and they retained the BGT however, a comeback win in Indore has taken the visitors straight into World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Finals.
BGT has been retained by the Indian team however the series can be levelled by the Aussies if they manage to win in the Ahmedabad test. India needs a win to clinch the series and book the final spot in the WTC Finals.
The fourth and final test of the series is very important from the point of view of the World Test Championship for India. A draw or a loss for the home side might reduce the chances of playing in the Oval.
