The Premier League officially known as ‘The Football Association Premier League Limited’ is the biggest football event in the English football league format. It functions quite differently from the famous champions who are divided into various smaller groups and fight at knockout. The Premier League is Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation. The game has a huge fan-following culture, and to keep to the convenience of the audience the games are largely played at the weekends. Seasons after season the tournament has responded with incredible sporting experience which has kept the fans glued.
The current season too has penned mighty stories with incredible football moments. Interestingly the Arsenal are on top of the table quite intact. They have a very good chance of remaining at the top of the table to have a fight for the title. It looks like Mikel Arteta-led boys are going to rewrite the history of Arsenal. Mikel Arteta a French footballer with all his experience as a player and in the management of different clubs has taken the club very seriously, to make it happen. Now the question is, could Mikel’s side boys actually do this?
History says that the Arsenal is in the dreamland of fetching the title for the past 18 years, of course, they have had a few close calls as well. There were a few seasons where Arsenal was topping the table in the very initial stage of two or three matches but not more than that, in fact, they were at times lost in the barren land, as far as the points are concerned. There were more than a dozen seasons where the fans would have thought that the club is on the verge of extinction.
Probably Arsenal is one of the finest examples of patience, hard work, commitment and fighting back. So far, this season has been all away from the rest of the years of history. The unbelievable foot movements and teamwork in scoring and keeping the team on top have not taken a break. They are rightly nicknamed ‘gunners’. The gunners are back for the hunt, in fact, they are hunting very dominantly. This might well be the season where Arsenal can for sure lift high the glory of the premier league under their title. Arsenal is far away from topping the table from the second and the rest.
Manchester City is quite close to Arsenal who are currently in the second position but the third, Manchester United are still far away to mention a couple.
Although a lot of actions are awaited still for the title, still so far, the incredible story scripted by Arsenal is no less than achieving the title. A glimpse of the team, and how differently they dealt the game with is clear evidence for the same. This season compared to all the previous is a masterpiece by the team. In the past, the Gunners would have fallen down badly in the initial or in the mid-stage and never rise again, just battling in vain to get a few points on the table. But now flying high on the table also on the field with multiple records.
The club is totally on a different side and mode under the guidance of Arteta. Arteta as the reports say, took a lot of time to study the club and took a lot of time to mould the team to rebuild the brand of Arsenal. The club has been incredibly patient despite all the hurdles and failures. Arteta’s very hard decision to remove a few from the playing team as well as the management has given a positive vibe. There seems to be a lot of unity and single command by the squad.
Arteta is well-focused and has managed to rotate his squad to compete for both in the Premier League and in the Europa League. Perhaps too early to make a conclusion about the league of the season, but they are not far from a new history.
