When it is rainy season, everyone is happy, and moreover having hot food when it drizzles is a different kind of fun. But what matters the most is the food we consume during this time which helps us maintain our health.
The digestive capacity is lower during the rainy season compared to other seasons. Thus, the foods we eat during the season should help our body get energy as well as aid good digestion,” said Dr. Anuradha K. C., a doctor at Kakunje Ayurvedic Wellness Clinic.
It is very good to use vegetables such as ridge gourd, field marrow, pumpkin, etc., which are easier for us to digest during the rainy season. Healthy soups along with vegetables too can be used in our diet.
During the rainy season, it is best not to eat fried items like bajji, bonda etc. Consuming too much of such food items can lead to heartburn, sourness, bloating, etc. And it is best not to use foods that increase vaatha during the rainy season.
During the rainy season we are less thirsty. But drinking water with cumin seeds is good for the body. Drink boiled water at home as much as possible. Health can be better maintained if you reduce the amount of food you eat outside.
The problems of vaatha are often experienced by our body during the rainy season. At such times, it is advisable to develop the habit of applying oil to the body and taking a bath.
