Dubai: The 17th episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday April 24 at 8.00 pm IST.
The guest for the evening was Vidushi Dr. M. S. Srilakshmi, Founder and Artistic Director Natyaranjini, Singapore.
Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.
The programme was live-streamed on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
In the beginning of the show Floyd Kiran introduced the guest and welcomed her.
Dr. Srilakshmi reminisced her initiation towards dancing and remembered the intense support by her family towards her aspiration.
She expressed pride in recalling her experience of choreographing dance for 500 students single-handedly.
In the ”Celebrity Favourites’ segment she expressed, ‘Lappi’ to be the nickname through which her close relatives address her.
Speaking on retirement settlement destination she said, “I don’t plan to retire. If not legs I wish to do something using my hands. But a basic village life where cooking food in earthen pot and leading a life of an agriculturalist woud give me great joy.”
Speaking about the happiest moment of her life she said, “There is no one particular moment of happiness. I love to be around my husband and kids.”
“When I lost my father I didn’t cry much but I know I lost one of the kindest person I had, ” thus she shared her saddest moment of life.
Music heals me in pain. And also Chinese movies which are filled with fantasies help me learn their culture, expressed Dr. Srilakshmi as a way out of low phases in life.
Floyd Kiran expressed best wishes to all the future endeavours of Dr. Srilakshmi. Expressing gratitude Floyd signed off the session.
