Puliogare is a common rice dish in the South Indian State of Karnataka. Also known as Pulihora, Pulinchoru, Puliyodarai, Kokum Rice, Tamarind Rice, is a very common and traditional rice. It mainly uses tamarind or (hunase) fruit as one of the main ingredients.
It is also a popular food and a well-known prasada in temples. It is an essential part of rituals, particularly in the holy temple. When we hear the name Puliyogare, our mouths water and we remember the awesome recipe. This has always been the perfect companion for long journeys, and also a complete meal too.
Once this Gojju is made clean without mixing water, it can be eaten mixed with rice whenever needed for about 15 days to one month.
