Life is full of surprises. While we specialise in field and achieve totally in another field. Here is a girl from Hebri of Udupi District who is the best example for the same.

Ranjitha, who has completed her BCom but has made her life achievement in string art. By making art of 3 feet Lord Ganesha in plywood using 1400 nails, in 7 hours 20 minutes was selected for India Book of Records. The art was also selected for Asia Book of Records 2022.

Recently she crafted 777 Charlie movie poster and the team recognised her. The video of the making and the final art went viral on social media too.

Speaking to News Karnataka Ranjitha said, “I had learnt basic of string art during my highschool days. However I lost touch of the art for many years. One day I saw the video of a boy doing a string art on Youtube. I contacted him and he became the reason I started the art again. I went to Ramesh Acharya for further training, and he taught me very effectively.

I am not the kind of a girl who is just happy to be someone’s daughter or someone’s wife. I would like to have my own identity. So I decided to learn this art further.

In my journey, the people of Hebri and my collegue helped me financially and mentally. During my India Book of Records competition I needed a hall which was not a cream of my cup. However, our manager Praveen Ballal sponsored a hall and helped me.

Ranjitha is a girl from poor family. Her father works as mechanic and mother is a home-maker. Amid all these difficulties, this girl has achieved something really unique. She also informed that she is has begun taking orders an for making this art.

She is also now preparing for Guinness Book of World Records. But it needs financial assistance and hence she has decided to commercialise the art.
