Everything in universe a marvel, let’s begin with thanking our own body

I have always been mesmerised by this whole universe. The functioning of the Earth, sunrise, sunset, moons and stars, rivers, mountains, forests, animals and birds. How well the whole ecosystem is planned (if it is planned) is simply marvellous.

How the sun sets and rises in a systematic way, the way the stars form constellations; sometimes similar to a mythological figure, how the trees hold on to the ground and make their own food, and the fruits and colourful flowers we get from them, how they grow out from seeds and saplings are just so amazing. The list to marvel is endless like how the animals live and give birth to their young ones without any help while we humans need a doctor, an army of nurse, grandmothers, a nanny, maid and a little help from the husband of course inorder to raise a child.

Further, I am astonished to see how the animals find food and feed their little ones. And all these animals and birds are placed in climate suitable for them. You will not find a dolphin or a seal in a desert; similarly you will not find a camel in Antarctica. However, we sometimes find lizard in our homes (chuckle). Somebody has to tell them that it wasn’t built for them. It was built with a lot of hardwork and!home loan for us to stay. Moreover, how the animals sense danger and protect themselves is also  remarkable.

Did you know, star fishes are born without brains? (Yeah!)

Continuing with the mesmerising journey of this ecosystem, we cannot forget one of the most important aspect, the Humans. We humans are blessed with this most amazing gift, our body. Since I am in one I get a first-hand experience. A Super Robot created by Him/Her. Each and every organ designed and planned for the best functioning. The heart will pump blood continuous without any break till we die. Without a second’s break even. The eye will capture an image like a camera and send it to the brain and we see many many images during the day, don’t we? The wonderful/horrific movie -like DREAM that you get. Only when the brain sends a message can you move any part of your body.  Each part of the body doing its duty continuously, be it the lungs, kidney, stomach, ears to everything. Your eyelids have eyelashes inorder to prevent dust getting into your eyes. And so many more astonishing things about our body. And like animals, we too can sense danger sometimes. Like when children we knew when the teachers chalk would be shot at us, and when we have to complete our house chores before our mom fires a missile at us Or as an adult when our kid is going to ask for a new toy and the stories that we have to tell when we pass that certain shop in order to divert their attention.

All in all, we need to be grateful to this wonderful gift that God has given us, our body. Let us make it a habit to thank this remarkable body that we have got before going to sleep. And let us take care of it by drinking lots of water and giving the required nutrients that it needs and most important of all by not worrying over trivial matters. We have survived and will survive.
