Mangaluru: Many have a dream and desire to visit a foreign nation to explore, know, get educated and various other reasons. To visit a foreign nation the availability of a passport is necessary. There is a procedure by which one can get a passport which is mostly simple. However, one among processes is police verification.
During the pandemic period the police verification was done by the police by attending the applicant’s residence and verification too was being done in one’s place. But now the verification has to be done by the applicant by visiting the concerned police station. But that’s not an issue. The real issue is to provide a witness while visiting the police station and that is not an easy task. Finding a witness who will tag along with us police to the station is hard as every individual is busy in his or her own way. Thus, many find it difficult to provide a witness on their behalf.
The police station gives a particular date and time in which a person has to take all of his documents along with a witness to the station. This process is very hard and uncomfortable in many ways. As people who are set out to do a passport have a deadline and commitment to be achieved. Due to this hitch if a person cannot make his passport on time, might lose an opportunity of a carving a great future in terms of education, career or otherwise. So the Government has to take a step to bring a citizen-friendly system.
