London: India’s recent struggles in T20 internationals have prompted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to initiate a review process aimed at course correction following back-to-back series defeats against Ireland and England.

The Shreyas Iyer-led side suffered a surprising 2-0 loss to Ireland before enduring another setback in England, raising concerns within the cricket board. These defeats come just months after India lifted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title at home in March 2026, making the downturn in form particularly notable.

“The review meeting will be strictly about the performance of the team and how course correction can be done with regard to the shortcomings. Nothing else will be discussed,” he stated.

The meeting is expected to involve captain Shreyas Iyer and head coach Gautam Gambhir, along with other key stakeholders. Discussions will likely cover team selection, tactical planning, and execution in overseas conditions.
