New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a stern warning to Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises and players, introducing strict protocols and disciplinary measures to curb off-field controversies during the 2026 season.

In a detailed seven-page advisory circulated to all 10 franchises, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia highlighted concerns over potential “honey-trap” risks and unauthorised access to team hotels.
