On International Scuba Day, India celebrates a remarkable achievement: 12-year-old Jithen Arun from Bengaluru has become one of the world’s youngest Master Scuba Divers. Known for his drumming skills, Jithen’s fearless spirit and talent shine in his scuba diving accomplishments, placing him among the elite 2% of divers globally.
Jithen’s underwater journey began with his natural affinity for water, completing 50 laps in a 25-meter pool effortlessly. With over 50 dives to depths of up to 70 feet, he holds certifications in Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Nitrox Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Navigation, Search and Recovery, Rescue Diver Training, and Emergency First Responder courses.
