RCB officially announced Karthik’s new role on their social media, urging fans to welcome him warmly. With a career spanning 180 matches across formats for India, Karthik scored 3463 runs and secured 172 dismissals, establishing himself as a reliable performer both behind the stumps and in the outfield. Despite missing out on selection for the 2024 T20 World Cup, Karthik remained a pivotal figure in the IPL, making 257 appearances and scoring 4842 runs at an average of 26.32.

RCB, renowned for their strong fanbase, has yet to secure an IPL title despite reaching the finals thrice.
