Haryana Steelers are set to celebrate their historic first Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title win with a grand victory parade on January 11, following their triumph over the three-time PKL champions, Patna Pirates, in the final of PKL 11. The parade will commence in Hisar, at the Jindal Overbridge, starting at 10:30 am IST.
The event will feature prominent figures including Haryana MLA Savitri Jindal, Parth Jindal, and Divyanshu Singh from JSW Sports. Fans will also have the chance to meet the Steelers team during a special meet and greet at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) in Hisar, where they can take selfies with their idols.
The parade will continue its journey at 4:00 pm IST, traveling to Rohtak’s Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), where both players and fans will celebrate the team’s victory. A highlight of the event will be the inauguration of the newly constructed Kabaddi Academy in Haryana, which aims to boost the sport’s development in the region.
Steelers’ head coach, Manpreet Singh, who secured his first PKL trophy with this victory, expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from fans. He emphasized that the team’s hard work and dedication will continue as they aim to deliver more victories in future seasons.
The victory parade will feature key players, including captain Jaideep Dahiya, vice-captain Rahul Sethpal, and others from the squad, celebrating the team’s success alongside their passionate supporters.
