Mysuru: Hosts India defeated Island nation Srilanka 2-0 in the Paralympic Volleyball tournament organised by the Paralympic Volleyball Federation of India (PVFI) at Chamundi Vihar indoor stadium here.
In the first encounter, hosts India defeated Srilanka in straight sets 25-18, 25-17 and 25-18 on Saturday, November 12.
In the second match, India beat the opponents again in straight sets 25-16, 25-17 and 25-16 on Sunday, November 13. The hosts gave a stellar performance by employing a perfect combination of smashes and blocks to carve the series win.
Rajesh from Tamilnadu was declared the player of the series while Dasure displayed his offensive game skills to the opponents. In the earlier series both teams had a tie at 1-1.
