Pre-wedding celebrations begin March 13
Pre-wedding festivities are scheduled to begin on March 13 with traditional Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies. These events will bring together close friends and family members in the scenic hill town of Mussoorie.
The wedding ceremony itself is expected to be an intimate gathering, with only close family members present at the resort venue.
Wedding postponed due to T20 World Cup
The wedding was initially planned for November 2025 but had to be postponed after Kuldeep was selected for India’s squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The decision proved significant as India national cricket team went on to win their third T20 World Cup title, defeating New Zealand national cricket team in the final held in Ahmedabad.
Kuldeep played a crucial role during the tournament, including a key performance against Pakistan national cricket team, where he took 1/14 in three overs, helping India gain control during a crucial stage of the match.
Invitation extended to Uttar Pradesh CM
Ahead of the wedding, Kuldeep’s father Ram Singh Yadav met Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, on March 8 and personally invited him to attend the celebrations.
Grand reception planned in Lucknow
Following the wedding in Mussoorie, a grand reception will be held on March 17 at Hotel Centrum in Lucknow.
The event is expected to be attended by officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, members of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, along with several current and former Indian cricketers.
With 365 wickets across formats for India, Kuldeep remains one of the country’s leading spin bowlers. The upcoming wedding marks a new chapter in the life of the celebrated cricketer as he balances personal milestones alongside his cricketing career.
