The club said the supporter suffered a medical emergency in the stadium shortly after the final whistle. Emergency services, stewards and medical staff responded promptly, with assistance also provided by nearby supporters.
“Everyone at Norwich City would like to send their heartfelt condolences to the supporter’s family and friends,” the club said in its statement. It added that it would ensure those involved in responding to the incident receive appropriate care and support.
Club working with police
Norwich City said it was working closely with police and relevant authorities to provide assistance to the bereaved family during what it described as a “distressing time”.
Supporters who were present at the stadium praised the swift response of emergency services. One fan said medical teams reached the Regency Stand quickly after the incident was reported.

The news prompted an outpouring of sympathy from across the football community. Messages of condolence were posted by fans, supporter groups and rival clubs, including Ipswich Town, Norwich City’s East Anglian rivals.
