Odisha Fc Triumphs Over Bengaluru Fc In Thrilling 4 2 Isl Encounter

Odisha FC showcased a commanding performance to secure a 4-2 win against Bengaluru FC at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) season.

The home team started strong, grabbing an early lead in the 10th minute through the partnership of Isak Vanlalruatfela and Jerry Mawihmingthanga, who marked his 100th ISL game with a clinical finish. Isak’s precise assist from within the Bengaluru box set Jerry up to strike the opener.

Odisha doubled their lead in the 27th minute from a corner. Ahmed Jahouh’s well-placed delivery found Mourtada Fall at the far post, whose header left no chance for the opposition defense.

Diego Mauricio stole the show as the “Key Performer of the Match” with two brilliant solo goals, one in each half. His attacking prowess proved decisive, as he left Bengaluru’s defenders chasing shadows.

Bengaluru FC responded in the second half, with veteran Sunil Chhetri heading in a precise cross from Ryan Williams in the 52nd minute. Despite the effort, Mauricio struck again in the 60th minute to further Odisha’s lead. Edgar Mendez managed a late consolation for Bengaluru with a header from Roshan Singh’s cross in the 88th minute.

Odisha FC, now high on confidence, will face Mumbai City FC on December 5, while Bengaluru FC seeks redemption against Kerala Blasters FC on December 7.
