New Delhi: Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal has called for unity and resilience after the team’s crushing defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2026 clash.

‘Stay together and keep believing’: Jindal

Taking to social media platform X, Jindal urged the squad to remain united despite the setback:

“Stay together more than ever now @DelhiCapitals — really very tough to take but we must keep fighting and keep believing.”

The message came after one of DC’s most disappointing performances of the season, with the team facing back-to-back defeats in a span of 48 hours.

DC collapse to 75 as RCB dominate

The match saw Delhi Capitals crumble under pressure:

  • Bowled out for just 75, their lowest total of the season
  • Reduced to 9 for 6 inside the powerplay
  • Josh Hazlewood (4 wickets) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3 wickets) led the demolition

In response, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal chased down the target comfortably, sealing a nine-wicket victory for RCB.

Axar Patel left searching for answers

DC skipper Axar Patel admitted he was baffled by the team’s sudden collapse.

“Even I don’t know what happened… we have to move on from this match,” Axar said after the game.

He also pointed to earlier missed opportunities that may have hurt the team’s momentum, including:

  • A missed single in a narrow loss against Gujarat Titans
  • Dropped catches in the previous match

Despite the heavy defeat, Axar dismissed suggestions that the pitch offered extraordinary assistance to bowlers, crediting RCB’s attack for their execution.

Back-to-back setbacks raise concerns

This loss followed another painful outing where DC failed to defend a massive total against Punjab Kings, highlighting issues with:

  • Top-order fragility
  • Fielding lapses
  • Inconsistent momentum

With the tournament entering a crucial phase, Jindal’s message reflects the urgency within the camp to regroup and respond strongly.
