Virat Kohli

Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli sustained his dream run in the ongoing Indian Premier League season as he struck a glorious knock to help RCB get a steady start in their final group-stage match against Chennai Super Kings on home soil.

Taking on the role of opener, Kohli scored 47 runs off just 29 deliveries on a challenging pitch before being dismissed by Mitchell Santner in the tenth over.

During his innings, Kohli showed his aggressive side particularly against the renowned Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja, hitting him for boundaries at a crucial juncture when RCB needed to accelerate the scoring rate.

The notable moment came in the ninth over of RCB’s innings, following a rain interruption, when Kohli took on Jadeja to push the scoring. With his opening partner Faf du Plessis struggling, Kohli opted to take the attack to Jadeja.

After playing two dot balls, Kohli smashed a full-length delivery from Jadeja for a huge six over mid-wicket, displaying his determination with an animated celebration.

Following Kohli’s dismissal, Du Plessis took charge and targeted Jadeja to add valuable boundaries to his name and reach his fifty. At the time of writing, RCB was comfortably positioned at 106 for one in 11.4 overs, with Du Plessis and Rajat Patidar holding the fort in the middle.
