According to reports, a memorial plaque will be installed within the stadium premises ahead of the opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The plaque is expected to be placed near the inner entrance, close to an existing mural, creating a permanent space for reflection within the venue.

In a symbolic gesture, 11 seats inside the stadium will be permanently reserved in memory of those who lost their lives. These seats will remain unsold during IPL and international matches.
The seats are likely to be grouped together in a prominent stand, serving as a visible reminder of the lives lost.

Ahead of the IPL 2026 opener, the stadium will observe a minute’s silence, and the names of the victims will be displayed as a mark of respect.
