SJEC Men’s Team Wins Runner-Up Trophy at VTU State Level Powerlifting Championship

Mangaluru: The St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) men’s team secured the runner-up trophy in the Overall Men’s VTU State Level Powerlifting Championship. The event took place on July 10 and 11, 2024, at New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

Notable achievements include Mr. Dhawan Rai from the second year of Electronics & Communication Engineering, who won gold in the below 59 kg category, and Mr. Hrithik Chand from the second year of the Master of Business Administration program, who won gold in the below 120 kg category.

The team was guided by Physical Education Director, Ms. Vaneesha V. Rodrigues, and Assistant PED, Mr. Sudheer M. The management of SJEC extends heartfelt congratulations to the entire team and the Physical Education Directors for this outstanding accomplishment.
