He became the youngest cricketer to score a T20I fifty, surpassing the previous record held by Gibraltar’s Louis Bruce.
He also became the youngest player from a full-member nation to register a maiden international fifty, overtaking Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record set during India’s Test against Pakistan in Faisalabad in 1989.
Additionally, Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to score a fifty in men’s international cricket, including both full-member and associate nations. The previous youngest player to achieve the feat before turning 16 was Nepal’s Kushal Malla.

Sachin Tendulkar’s record surpassed
One of the most significant milestones came when Sooryavanshi eclipsed a record that had stood for nearly four decades.
Sachin Tendulkar had become the youngest player from a full-member nation to score a maiden international fifty at 16 years and 213 days during a Test match against Pakistan in 1989.
Sooryavanshi bettered that mark by more than a year, underlining the extraordinary start to his international career.
He also moved ahead of former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who scored his maiden international fifty at 16 years and 214 days.

Earlier in the match, India produced an impressive bowling performance to restrict Zimbabwe to 125 for seven.
Fast bowler Mayank Yadav, returning to international cricket after recovering from a stress fracture, made an immediate impact by dismissing opener Brian Bennett with the very first ball of the match.
Bowling consistently above 145 kmph, Mayank troubled Zimbabwe’s batters with pace and accuracy, finishing with two crucial wickets.
Debutant Ashok Sharma recovered well after an expensive opening over, while leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi delivered an economical spell, conceding just 24 runs in his four overs and claiming one wicket.
Zimbabwe’s innings was steadied by Wessly Madhevere (38), Ryan Burl (26) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (27 not out), who helped the hosts post a competitive total after early setbacks.
