
Sundar Pichai Meets PM Modi at AI Action Summit to Discuss AI’s Role
Google CEO Sundar Pichai met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in Paris during the AI Action Summit to discuss the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for India’s digital future. Pichai shared his excitement on social media after the meeting, saying, “Delighted to meet with PM Narendra Modi today while in Paris for the AI Action Summit. We discussed the incredible opportunities AI will bring to India and ways we can work closely together on India’s digital transformation.”
In addition to his meeting with Pichai, Prime Minister Modi also met U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and his family on the sidelines of the summit. The meeting included a discussion on various topics, and the PM shared moments from the gathering, including celebrating the birthday of Vance’s son, Vivek, with a post on X.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi addressed the India-France CEOs Forum, emphasizing its role in fostering economic ties and innovation. He highlighted the collaboration between India and France, stressing that business leaders from both nations were working together to create new opportunities and drive economic growth. Modi stated, “India and France aren’t just connected by democratic values. We are united by trust, innovation, and a commitment to serving the people.”
The AI Action Summit, co-chaired by PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, concluded with a high-level discussion on AI and technological collaboration between India and France, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to focus on AI’s future.
