Cupertino: Apple has announced AppleCare One Family, a new subscription that allows families in the United States to cover eligible Apple devices belonging to up to six people under one monthly plan.

AppleCare One Family costs $49.99 per month and extends AppleCare coverage across eligible devices connected through an Apple Family Sharing group.
The plan includes benefits associated with AppleCare+, including protection against accidental damage such as drops and spills, battery replacement service and priority support from Apple Experts. Eligible iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch models also receive theft and loss protection.
A notable feature is that the monthly price remains the same regardless of how many eligible devices are added. Families can therefore bring several Apple products under one subscription instead of managing separate protection plans.
Existing devices can also be added
The new plan is not limited to newly purchased products. Apple says most devices that are less than four years old and in good working condition can be added to AppleCare One Family.
Newly purchased eligible devices are automatically added without increasing the monthly fee. Customers can manage the coverage through an iPhone, iPad or Mac after setting up Family Sharing and inviting up to five other people.
The family plan allows six total claims per year across the group, making the number of claims an important consideration for households with several covered devices.
US launch comes next week
AppleCare One Family will be available in the United States from September 14, 2026. It builds on AppleCare One, which Apple introduced in the US in 2025 as a way to combine protection for multiple devices under one subscription.
For families with several iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches and other eligible Apple products, the new option could make device protection simpler by bringing coverage under a single monthly payment.
