Google has unveiled Ask Ad Manager, a new artificial intelligence-powered assistant built into Google Ad Manager that aims to help publishers manage advertising operations more efficiently.
Powered by Google’s Gemini AI model, the new tool is designed to simplify complex tasks by allowing publishers to interact with their advertising platform through natural language conversations rather than navigating multiple dashboards and reports.
AI assistant for publishers
According to Google, Ask Ad Manager functions as a conversational agent capable of answering questions, diagnosing problems and generating performance insights using a publisher’s own data. The company said the tool is intended to help publishers make faster and more informed decisions while maintaining control over their information.
The feature is currently being rolled out in beta and forms part of Google’s broader effort to integrate AI into digital advertising operations.
Key features announced
Google highlighted three major capabilities of Ask Ad Manager.
The first is real-time troubleshooting, allowing publishers to investigate issues such as underperforming ad campaigns or delivery problems through simple prompts rather than manually analysing reports.
The second feature focuses on performance analysis. Publishers can request custom reports, metrics and comparative insights through conversational queries, reducing the time required to compile data from multiple sources.
The third capability is navigation assistance, enabling users to quickly locate settings, campaigns and reports directly through the chat interface.
Part of Google’s AI-driven future
Google said the introduction of Ask Ad Manager reflects the growing role of AI in digital advertising. The company expects the assistant to evolve further throughout the year with additional features and expanded capabilities.
Industry observers believe tools like Ask Ad Manager could significantly reduce the time publishers spend on routine administrative tasks, allowing them to focus more on revenue growth and audience engagement.
