South Korean tech major LG is set to showcase its vision for the future of home robotics at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, with the unveiling of a new domestic helper robot named CLOiD.

In a press release, LG said CLOiD has been designed to handle a wide range of indoor household tasks, with the aim of improving everyday convenience and making home management more efficient and intuitive.

Designed for delicate household tasks

According to LG, CLOiD is equipped with two articulated arms, each featuring five finger-like digits. These arms offer seven degrees of freedom, enabling the robot to perform delicate and precise tasks typically challenging for conventional home robots.

The robot’s “head” houses a processing chip that functions as its brain, supported by a camera, display, speaker and multiple sensors. Together, these components allow CLOiD to navigate indoor spaces, recognise its surroundings and interact with users.

Powered by LG AI

CLOiD runs on LG’s artificial intelligence platform, which the company says will allow the robot to learn from repeated interactions. Over time, it is expected to refine its responses and adapt to the habits and preferences of regular users, offering a more personalised experience.

LG positions the robot as a long-term step towards intelligent, responsive home assistants rather than a simple automated device.

Details still limited

LG has not yet released real-world images of CLOiD, nor has it disclosed pricing, availability or a potential release timeline. As with many concepts unveiled at CES, it remains unclear whether CLOiD is close to mass-market readiness or represents a longer-term vision for home robotics.

More clarity is expected when LG formally presents the robot at CES in the coming days.
