London-based retail bank NatWest Group is expanding its footprint in Bengaluru by establishing a new 3,70,000 square feet office at Bagmane Constellation Business Park. This new facility spans 11 floors and significantly increases the bank’s capacity in the region. NatWest’s current office covers 1,05,000 square feet with a hybrid seating capacity for 1,000 employees, accommodating about 2,000 employees in total.
The new building will have a hybrid seating capacity for 3,000 employees and will house close to 6,000 employees. NatWest plans to move into the new office by the second quarter of the financial year 2025 (Q2 FY25).
“Strengthening our global operations further positions us at the forefront of innovation as we continue to prioritize improving the customer and colleague experience,” said Scott Marcar, group chief information officer of NatWest Group.
This expansion follows NatWest’s announcement last year to recruit 3,000 new software engineers in India by 2026. The new office will offer three times the seating capacity of the current RMZ Ecoworld office, with room for future growth.
Bengaluru is a strategic location for NatWest in India, along with Gurugram and Chennai. The expansion strengthens NatWest’s domestic presence, making it the second-largest employee base outside the UK, and enhances its colleague value proposition.
“Our new Bengaluru office is not just an expansion of physical space but a strategic investment in our future. With a modern office design to enhance productivity and create an inspiring environment for our employees, it reflects our commitment to the vast potential of India’s talent and technology ecosystem,” said Punit Sood, head of India, NatWest Group.
