YouTube is experimenting with a new perk for its Premium subscribers, allowing them to share ad-free video views with non-paying users. This feature is currently being tested in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Turkey, and the UK for a limited time.
Under this trial program, Premium members can grant up to 10 ad-free video views per month to friends or family. Recipients can enjoy these videos without ads, offering them a preview of YouTube Premium’s benefits.
Google calls it a “great way” to showcase the ad-free experience, but there are caveats. The feature is optional, subject to removal at any time, and limited to 10 shares monthly. Since it’s experimental, its future remains uncertain.
YouTube is actively seeking user feedback to determine whether the feature should expand. Users can share thoughts at yt.be/help/feedback.
