Teenager dies after falling from moving private bus in Chellanam

A tragic accident claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy, Pavan Sumod, in Chellanam, Ernakulam, on Saturday evening. The incident occurred around 7 PM when Pavan fell from a moving private bus.

CCTV footage reveals that Pavan had boarded the bus from Malakhappady and was seen standing near the rear section, dangerously close to the open back door. Moments later, he is seen falling off the bus while it was still in motion, his head hitting the road fatally.

It is yet to be confirmed whether he accidentally slipped or jumped intentionally, but initial reports highlight serious negligence. Authorities have registered a case against the bus driver for reckless driving, noting that keeping bus doors closed during operation is mandatory for passenger safety.
