Thane: It is said that Nawaz Modi Singhania, the spouse of Gautam Singhania, the Chairman and MD of Raymond, was prevented from going to her husband’s Diwali celebration in Thane last week. She suffered a shattered collar bone after what is believed to have been an assault by Gautam in their Breach Candy home last month. Following that, she was admitted to Girgaon’s Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. In this case, no police report was filed.

The event was captured on camera by Nawaz Modi Singhania herself. Nawaz is heard stating that she was standing outside JK Gram (Singhania’s Property) in Thane in the footage that has gone viral. She claimed that although she had received an invitation to the celebration, she was now denied access to the location.
Nawaz Modi continued in the video to say that a man inside the gated property, whom she identified as Chandrakant, used the local police and other security personnel to impede her admission into the complex.
Nawaz then waited outside the premises, sitting on the road outside. She was accompanied by another woman during the chaos. Both waited outside the gate following the verbal spat. However, there are no reports of them being allowed to enter in the house.
Soon after the incident was reported, Gautam Singhania issued a public statement revealing his separation from his wife Nawaz. “This Diwali is not going to be the same as many in the past, said Singhania while mentioning about the bond they shared as a couple and as parents during their 32-year-long marriage.
“It is my belief that Nawaz and I will pursue different paths from here,” mentioned Singhania announcing his separation while he also stated that the couple will however continue to do what is best for their two daughters Niharika and Nisa.
“Please respect this personal decision and kindly give us the space to settle all aspects of the relationship. Seeking your best wishes for the entire family during these times,” he mentioned in the conclusion.
