Recent reports have drawn attention to a growing issue concerning travelers: airlines mishandling luggage, particularly delicate items such as musical instruments. Piyush Kapoor, a musician, took an unconventional approach to raise awareness of this problem.

Kapoor shared with his audience, “You don’t need to tweak anything. Just book a flight with IndiGo or any other airline, whether your instrument is in a hard case or not, and they’ll ensure you get a free tremolo effect by breaking it.” He even humorously demonstrated the “musical effect” by playing the damaged guitar, while poking fun at the airline’s handling.

In a social media post directed at IndiGo, Kapoor expressed gratitude tinged with sarcasm, “Thank you @indigo.6e. It’s a revelation how you managed to crack it open this way.” He then turned serious, urging airlines to educate their baggage handlers on the meaning of the “Fragile” sticker.

IndiGo promptly responded to Kapoor’s video, assuring him of their commitment to the care of customers’ belongings. They requested Kapoor to share his travel details and contact information via DM to address the issue.

In his response, Kapoor clarified that his intention wasn’t to seek compensation but to emphasize the need for careful handling of musical instruments by baggage handlers. He acknowledged that accidents can occur but stressed the importance of immediate accountability.

Kapoor appreciated IndiGo’s response and expressed hope that other airlines would adopt a similar approach.
