Six Years Later: Mumbai Man Surprised by Flipkart Call on Unreceived Order

A Mumbai resident was left surprised when he received a call from Flipkart customer support, six years after placing an order on the e-commerce platform. Ahsan Kharbai took to social media to share his unusual experience, posting a screenshot of his order history which showed an order for Sparx slippers placed in May 2018.

Despite the long wait, the slippers never arrived, with the Flipkart app consistently showing them as “arriving today.” Recently, Ahsan clicked on the old order out of curiosity, prompting Flipkart to call him the next day.

“I was surprised when they called about an order that’s 6 years old,” he told Hindustan Times. The customer service representative inquired about the unresolved issue and apologized for the delay, noting that it was a cash-on-delivery order without an option to cancel through the app.

“I just want them to close that order because it’s always at the top of my Flipkart order section,” Ahsan remarked. His social media post garnered significant attention, amassing over 1.3 lakh views and numerous comments from amused users sharing similar tales of delayed deliveries and humorous observations.

 

Some users joked about their own perpetual “out for delivery” statuses dating back several years, highlighting the comedic side of enduring e-commerce quirks.
