High-speed riding cited in complaint

The complaint reportedly states that Sanath was riding the motorcycle at high speed and in a negligent manner before the accident.

He allegedly lost control after moving towards the extreme right side of the road near Kelaparkala Down. The motorcycle then collided with the roadside tree, resulting in the fatal injuries.

The incident highlights the risks associated with speeding, particularly on highways and during late-night journeys.

Motorcycle riders are particularly vulnerable in crashes because even a single loss of control can result in serious or fatal injuries. Maintaining a safe speed and remaining attentive to road conditions are crucial, especially during journeys in the early hours.

Fatal crash raises road safety concerns

The accident at Kelaparkala is another reminder of the importance of road safety on the Udupi-Agumbe highway.

A sudden deviation from the road can have serious consequences when a rider loses control of a two-wheeler. In this case, the motorcycle struck a tree, causing Sanath to be thrown into a roadside drain.

The prompt response from his friends and members of the public ensured that he was taken to hospital without delay. However, doctors could not save him.

The loss of the 24-year-old has brought attention to the dangers of high-speed riding and the importance of exercising caution while travelling late at night.

The authorities are expected to continue the necessary legal procedures in connection with the fatal accident.
