Udupi: A 27-year-old woman known for her work in the modelling field was found dead at her residence in Kalmady, within the limits of Malpe Police Station, Udupi district.
The deceased has been identified as Krithi Bangera, who was reportedly working at a private hotel near Kadiyali in Udupi. According to reports, she had not been attending work for around five months and had been staying at home.
Family raises concern over her recent stress
Krithi lived in Kalmady with her mother Ratna and sister. According to the complaint filed by her sister, her mother had gone to Malpe for work on August 6, while her sister had also left home for work in Udupi.
When her mother returned home around 1 pm, Krithi reportedly asked her to step outside and closed the bedroom door. When there was no response despite repeated attempts to contact her, the family sought the help of Krithi’s maternal uncle, Chandra.
The family subsequently found Krithi unresponsive inside the room and alerted the authorities.
Malpe police register case
Family members reportedly told police that Krithi had been under considerable stress in the days preceding her death.
Based on the complaint filed by her sister, Malpe Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Police are expected to examine the available evidence and statements from family members as part of the investigation.
