Manipal police have successfully apprehended Krishna Bhandary, a long-wanted fugitive who had been evading justice for nearly three decades. Krishna, originally from Kundapur, was involved in a violent assault case dating back to 1995. The incident occurred when the victim was heading home, and Krishna, along with his accomplices, attacked him with iron rods. Krishna was the third accused in the case and had avoided attending any court hearings since then.
The breakthrough in this long-standing case came when HC Prasanna and Imran, operating under the direction of Inspector Devaraj from Kundapur, managed to locate and arrest Krishna. The arrest marks a significant achievement for the police in resolving this prolonged case of assault.
Krishna was brought before the court, where he now faces charges for his role in the violent attack. The case highlights the persistence of law enforcement in bringing fugitives to justice, no matter how much time has elapsed.
The arrest not only closes a significant chapter in a long-running criminal investigation but also serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts by police to ensure that justice is served.
