Udupi: Adarsha Hospital, one of Udupi’s leading healthcare centres, has bolstered its cardiology department by appointing cardiologist Dr Suhas G C, who will be available for consultations from August 28.
A specialist with advanced training
Dr Suhas completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by an MD in General Medicine from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bengaluru, and a DM in Cardiology with top distinction from Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru.
He further specialised in complex coronary interventions under the mentorship of renowned cardiologist Dr Surya Prakash Rao at the Indo-Japanese CTO Club, Hyderabad.
Continuing a legacy of care
Son of Dr G S Chandrashekhar, Medical Director, and Vimala Chandrashekhar, CEO of Adarsha Hospital, Dr Suhas brings expertise in angioplasty, peripheral angioplasty, pacemaker implantation and advanced cardiac procedures. He will join the existing team of specialists Dr Srikanth K and Dr Vishukumar B.
State-of-the-art facilities
Adarsha Hospital, a 200-bed multi-speciality facility, features a modern Philips cath lab, CT scan, MRI, and advanced ICU units including NICU and PICU. The infrastructure also includes three modular operation theatres, a maternity wing, and specialised departments in neurology, orthopaedics, ENT and surgery.

Dr Suhas’s service will be formally launched with blessings from Sri Vishwapriya Teertha Swamiji of Adamaru Matha. The appointment is expected to enhance cardiac care services in Udupi and surrounding regions.
