Udupi: Ajekar police have apprehended Ratnakar Ameen, a member of the Hindu Jagran Vedike, for allegedly sharing provocative content on social media aimed at stirring communal discord.
Ameen, a resident of Ajekar village in Marne, reportedly uploaded a Facebook post that authorities believe was designed to incite hostility between different castes and religious communities.
Based on the post, a case was registered at the Ajekar police station under relevant sections for promoting enmity. He was subsequently taken into custody and presented before the court for further legal proceedings.
