Udupi: The auspicious Balindra Pooja was celebrated with grandeur at the Sri Krishna Mutt in Udupi, honouring Raja Balindra, revered as the king of Tulunadu. This annual event takes place during Diwali, marking the ceremonial welcome, worship, and honouring of Raja Balindra with a grand offering.

The pooja was conducted in the Kanaka Gopura premises of Sri Krishna Mutt. A vivid depiction of Raja Balindra was drawn and adorned with flowers, creating a colourful and divine setting for the pooja. Devotees gathered to offer their respects, and Vedic sages performed the pooja rituals in the presence of the alternate seer of Sri Puttige Mutt.

As part of the tradition, devotees called out to Raja Balindra, symbolically extending their hospitality and respect. The celebration echoed the spirit of Diwali, emphasizing cultural reverence and unity among devotees.
