Udupi: “Beauticians don’t just enhance outer beauty—they uplift women’s confidence,” remarked young entrepreneur Mahalasa Kini at the ‘Beauty Professionals Day’ and swearing-in ceremony of the All Karnataka Women Beauticians Association, Udupi. The event took place on Thursday at Ave Maria Hall, Mother of Sorrows Church premises.
Speaking at the gathering, Kini praised the artistry involved in the profession. “Being a beautician is not just a job—it’s a unique form of art. Not everyone can perfect it. It’s a craft that requires precision and passion. The magic they create boosts our self-image. Whatever our reason for visiting a salon, we always walk out feeling happier,” she said.
She lauded the association for its commendable social contributions over the past two years. “There are many associations in society, but your group stands out for its meaningful service. The more people become aware of your work, the more recognition and support you’ll receive. In a time when women’s empowerment is widely discussed, your team already exemplifies strength and leadership. I hope you continue on this path of progress,” she added.
Kishwar Jahan, Udupi District President of the association, chaired the event.
Other dignitaries included District Secretary Nanda Shetty, Auditor Geetha Dayanand, PRO Priya Uday Shetty, Founder President Maria Harold, and Founder Secretary Veda Suvarna. Zonal heads from Byndoor, Kundapur, Brahmavar, Udupi, Kaup, Hebri, and Karkala also participated.
