Udupi: The seven-day Bhajana Mahotsava held at Sri Lakshmi Venkatesha Temple, Tenkapet, Udupi, came to a graceful conclusion with the Bhajana Mangalotsava, marking the end of a deeply spiritual and culturally rich event.

The final day’s rituals began with sacred offerings and Mahapooja, performed by Vinayak Bhat, who led the devotees in observing age-old Vedic traditions. Assisting in the rituals were priests Dayaghan Bhat, Deepak Bhat, and Girish Bhat, ensuring every sacred step was performed with devotion and precision.

A large number of devotees gathered to partake in the concluding ceremonies. With hearts full of devotion, they participated in traditional Madesthana Seva (offering rounds of rice), curd-drinking ritual, and Teppangai Seva—a symbolic offering conducted with great reverence.

The temple premises reverberated with devotional chants and bhajans, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere that reflected the collective faith of the community. The event not only reinforced cultural values but also highlighted the role of temple festivals in uniting people through spiritual music and ritualistic worship.

After the completion of the Mahapooja, the final segment of the event—a symbolic funeral marking the end of the Mahotsava—was held in accordance with temple traditions.

The Bhajana Mahotsava stood as a beautiful reminder of Udupi’s deep-rooted spiritual heritage and the importance of sustaining devotional practices.
