Udupi — Marking the 79th Independence Day under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the Udupi District BJP Mahila Morcha organised a spirited ‘Tiranga Two-Wheeler Jatha’.

The event began at the Nittur–Ambagilu junction, where District Mahila Morcha President Sandhya Ramesh garlanded the statue of Karamballi Sanjeeva Shetty. State Mahila Morcha General Secretary Shilpa G. formally flagged off the rally by garlanding the golden statue.

Prominent BJP leaders and office-bearers participated, including District General Secretary Reshma Udaya Shetty, District Mahila Morcha General Secretary Nalini Pradeep Rao, Vice President Suma U. Shetty, Municipal Council Vice President Rajni Hebbar, BJP Udupi City President Dinesh Amin, General Secretaries Rashmita B. Shetty and Saroja Shenoy, along with Geetanjali M. Suvarna, Veena S. Shetty, Shivakumar Ambalapady, and Giridhar Acharya. Municipal council members, as well as Mahila Morcha representatives from the district, city, rural, and Kaup Mandals, also joined the celebration.

The rally route covered Nittur–Ambagilu Junction, Kalsoka, Kadiyali, and Sharda Mantapa before concluding near the BJP District Office.
