Udupi: In a major crackdown on illegal gambling, the Brahmavar police raided a lodge in Heradi village and detained 11 individuals allegedly engaged in Andar Bahar Ispeet gambling. The operation took place in room number 203 on the second floor of the Rashmi Bar and Lodge building.
The raid and arrests
According to police sources, the raid was carried out following credible information about illegal gambling activities taking place inside the lodge premises. During the raid, officers found a group of men playing Andar Bahar with money as stakes.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly admitted to playing Andar Bahar Ispeet gambling with cash.
Seized property
The police recovered ₹21,080 in cash from the accused, along with two two-wheelers used by them. Authorities stated that the seized property would be produced before the jurisdictional court as part of the case proceedings.
Legal action
Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Karnataka Police Act. Investigations are underway to determine whether the accused were part of a larger gambling network operating in the region.
