A car lost control and plunged into a roadside drain near the bus stop close to Sasthan Church on Tuesday morning, February 25.
The vehicle, traveling from Kundapur to Udupi, veered off the road and fell into the drain. The driver suffered minor injuries in the mishap.
Locals promptly rushed to his aid and transported him to a private hospital in a toll ambulance. The Kota police have launched an investigation into the incident.
