The twin districts of Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi have been experiencing chilly early mornings for the past two days. However, the afternoons on Monday saw dry and hot conditions, with temperatures soaring between 11 am and 3 pm. There are no signs of rainfall in the region at present.

In rural areas, dense fog covered the trees, and some locations reported a temperature drop of one to two degrees Celsius, as noted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

On Monday, Mangaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 33.3°C and a minimum of 22.6°C.
