Udupi: The Darpana Women’s Pili team has extended financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh towards the cancer treatment of two children undergoing treatment at the Department of Paediatric Oncology at Kasturba Medical College and Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.

The assistance was provided to support the children’s ongoing treatment and offer financial relief to their families during the course of medical care.

Support extended to children’s treatment

The Darpana Women’s Pili team said the initiative was aimed at helping the families manage the financial burden associated with cancer treatment.

The team also acknowledged the contribution of children, parents, well-wishers, fans and supporters who have consistently supported its activities and made the initiative possible.

The members expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed towards the assistance and particularly acknowledged the continued encouragement, cooperation and support extended by the parents of the team’s children.

Team vows to continue welfare initiatives

“This treatment assistance is the result of a collective effort. The love, trust and support of everyone who stood with us have been the driving force behind this initiative. We remain committed to undertaking more meaningful social initiatives in the future,” the Darpana Women’s Pili team said.

The team also wished the two children a speedy recovery and said it would continue contributing to society through various welfare initiatives.
