Udupi, May 29: In a tragic incident, 78-year-old Mahabala Shettigar was fatally struck by a city bus while crossing the road in Manipal’s Eshwara Nagar on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred when a bus traveling from Manipal to Parkala hit Shettigar, causing him to fall and sustain serious injuries. He died on the way to the hospital. A case has been registered at the Manipal police station.
