In a tragic incident during heavy rains in Mudradi, Udupi, an 80-year-old woman named Chandru was swept away by floodwaters. Her son, Sudhakar, reported that she had impaired vision and had been staying at her daughter Gulabi’s home for the past two months. On October 6, around 3 PM, she left for her ancestral house without informing anyone. After a search, her body was discovered on Monday morning at 9:30 AM, caught against a tree in the Balladi River near Nekkarebettu. A case has been registered.
